Had a pair of dress shoes and a pair of very worn dress boots resoled at this place - owner is always very polite and professional and did a great job with both, only charging $90 to resole and redo the lining on the boots. As a bonus he always throws in an excellent polish as well. He only accepts cash and prefers payment upfront, so remember to bring some!

Unfortunately I had a very poor shoe repair experience from Frank the owner. He ruined an expensive pair of shoes and kept asking for more money! Go to other cobblers in the neighbourhood.

Such a wonderful little place run by an older couple. I brought in some older quasi forgotten leather boots that I had mistreated (badly) - the leather was cracked, dry, the heels were all but gone. I brought them in, he gave them a quick glance over, told me the price for replacing the heel and cleaning the boots up and three days later I was in possession of my beautifully restored boots. They did a wonderful job quickly and for a great price - I will definitely be coming here again!

My wife bought me a gorgeous leather briefcase about five years ago. On a business trip to the USA, I attempted to use it as a travel bag, which it is not, and the clasp broke away from the case rendering it unable to close. I have taken my briefcase to several repair shops in the city where I reside and, over the years, here in Toronto. I found only rude service and disappointment elsewhere. Several repair shops asked me if I was idiotic while all others told me to throw my briefcase into a garbage can or dumpster, telling me that it was broken beyond repair.
Earlier this week, I tried again. I went to City Shoe Repair at the Eglinton Station subway level. I was not treated rudely. My mental state was not brought into question. What was said was that my briefcase could be repaired and ready the next day for $15 plus HST. I was delighted and even more so when I saw the quality of the workmanship. I had a fabulous experience here and one which I will remember every time I use my bag.
