TERRIBLE!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! BEWARE! DO NOT USE THEM!!! This place is a scam! I cannot get my clothes out of my locker and it has been 3 weeks. The phone number is disconnected AND they do not respond to any emails!!! You cannot run a business solely on AI bots.

I’ve had an incredibly frustrating experience with Alfred Dry Cleaning, and I wouldn’t recommend their service.

I dropped off a white jacket on October 5th, clearly noting stains on the cuffs and inside the neck. I picked it up on October 11th to find the locker unlocked, the jacket hanging in a flimsy plastic sleeve, and dirtier than when I sent it in.

After weeks of unanswered emails and follow-ups, their Operations Manager finally contacted me on November 1st, promising to personally oversee the cleaning. Yet another week passed with no updates, and when I finally got through to him, I was told the jacket had been returned to a locker without any notification.

I picked it up today—six weeks after I initially dropped it off—and it’s still dirty and wrinkled. Unprofessional and unreliable at every step.

Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere for dry cleaning.

I dropped my jacket on Tuesday and since then they have been unreachable. It has practically been a week. I'm worried that my jacket is lost forever now. I should have never trusted this service. THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE EVER!!!
I have used them a few times and they have gone waaaayy downhill. A few months ago they delivered someone else's duvet to me, they took it back and apologized.
Then I sent them some dry cleaning - They SHRUNK my cashmere sweater and promised to reimburse me. THey asked that I return the shrunken sweater to them so they could see it and that they would pay me for the cost of the sweater. I followed up 3 times...no payment and no one is answering the phone or support emails.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!!
I paid $40 for dry cleaning in Oct 2023 that they haven't returned to me! Its Jan 2024. for 4 months no one has rectified these issues.

I've been using Alfred at least once a week for over a year and they have always been excellent. Ran into an issue where all the lockers at our condo were full. I email asking what to do, within minutes I got a call and an email, they wanted to make sure my dry cleaning got done, they said they were on the way to come and pickup and to leave it at the front desk. It wasn't just a form email or a try again later, but a real solution. I really appreciate the extra effort, it makes me so happy to see service is still alive and well.

Prices are competitive and the business model is pretty cool.

Drop your cleaning off in a locker (lockers are located throughout downtown, plus in many condo buildings), use the app to let them know the locker you placed your stuff in, and within a few hours you get a text message telling you your stuff has been picked up, plus pictures of what they will be cleaning, and an estimated delivery date. When your stuff is ready (within 48 hours), you get a text message telling you the locker number, and you pick up your cleaning where you dropped it off. Fast, convenient and cost-competitive.

Here's the kicker- the customer service is ridiculously amazing. I missed a cutoff day to have something back within 48 hours and messaged Alfred for help. Within 20 minutes someone had messaged me back. And within a half hour I was told that someone would personally drop off my items at the locker that evening. I've never had a company go above and beyond like they did- and for that reason alone you should try out Alfred. I know they'll be my primary dry-cleaning service going forward because of it.

To start my experience, the locker for dropoff drycleaning was broken causing some confusion and a duplicate order. That was sorted out, but I dropped off clothes on a Wednesday and it is now Thursday the following week (8 days now for simple drycleaning) without receiving a couple jackets and pants back. I tried emailing their help line for an ETA but they deflected and said the item was received and that's all they can say, then did not respond to my follow-up email asking to clarify what the ETA for return was. I tried then calling to speak to a person directly, and the number goes dead with no voicemail set up..... What is going on Alfred? I'm going to leave this one star until I can make an update.
