WARNING: Do not take your boots to this man! In all my years I have never taken my footwear to get repaired. Last year my winter boots that I bought from Mark's Work Warehouse (great boots) about 7 years ago had both rubber soles start to separate from the boot. The uppers were in great shape so I decided to get them repaired. I looked to find a boot repair shop near me and there was one located in Meadowlark Mall called Luca's. I went down there and showed him my boots. He went on and on about how these manufacturers don't make them good anymore. I told him they are great boots but for some reason, they are separating. He told me that he will get them repaired with specialized German glue. I left them with him and about a week later I received a call to come pick them up. I used them for the remaining winter (about 5 months). One day I was walking with my dogs and all of a sudden my left sole of my boot started flapping. It was a bit frustrating knowing I just had my boots repaired a few months earlier. It was at the end of the season so I put my boots in the boot tray and forgot about them. Today Nov 15th was the first snowfall and I just used my sneakers to walk the dogs, but ended up slipping like crazy and realized I need proper footwear again. As soon as I got home I pulled my boots out and realized I never got them looked after. That day I went down to Luca's and explained the situation. He looked me square in the eye and said I never repaired these boots. I told him to look me up in his system, but unfortunately, he has no system. So basically he called me a liar. He said it was because the German glue he uses is white and he can only see yellow. I told him that this was the only place I'd taken my boots to and I didn't care what color you see... you repaired my boots here. I even reminded him of our original conversation but he refused to even offer me a solution. When someone calls you a liar, you can easily get upset. I didn't yell, I didn't get mad, I just asked if he could figure something out...and he didn't even want to discuss it further. It cost me $20 per boot last time and if he would have said he would have repaired it for a bit of a discount I would have taken him up in his offer. Nothing!! My suggestion to everyone who reads this... go the extra distance and find another place to get your boots or shoes repaired. Very disappointing!

I brought my Mephesto shoes for a simple sewing repair. It was $20 and was ready quickly. However it was 10 times the price it is elsewhere and there was additional repair to do and nothing was mentioned and the additional work was done either. I had the shoes repaired elsewhere for $15 and they did all 3 repairs.

He did such a wonderful job of replacing zippers on a pair of high leather boots that were chewed by my dog. You can't even tell that they were replaced. He also repaired a purse handle. I would highly recommend his services and would definitely take all my leather repairs here.

Went there to get a handbag strap repaired. The older gentlemen told me "it couldn't be done". Said there was no way he could fix it. I decided to take it to Callingwood Market place. The gentleman there said no problem it just need to be stitched to reinforce it. Guess I'll be going to Callingwood shoe and leather repairs from now on.

I HAVE BEEN GOING TO LUCA'S SINCE JUNE 1986 WHEN I MOVED TO EDMONTON. HE HAS NEVER EVER DISAPPOINTED ME!

I do not recommend this place. The owner is obnoxious and does a terrible job with shoes. You can only pay cash and he does not give a receipt... I have reported him to Revenue Canada. If you had a similar experience, I encourage you to do the same.

I have a brand new pair of boots that I wore one time and the left book began to squeak when stepping down on the heel. Operator of this little kiosk told me to throw it out because it was made in China. What a joke.
