As soon as I stepped inside of TRAINI SHOE REPAIR, the owner made me feel just like one of his âFRIENDSâ. Welcome!Come on in!
I was caught totally off guard! After that, he and I had historical & educational conversations. From NEW BLOOMFIELD, PA, to when his shoe repair business started.
Inside his shop, he sales GENUINE SHOE POLISH (different colors)- FELTASTIC CORN PROTRCTORS-TOE STRAIGHTENERS-TOE SEPERATORS-LITTLE BUNION GUARDS-HAMMER TOE CUSHIONS-DYES-SHOE HORNS & SHOE INSOLES, even those that fit SKATES!
One of my favorite, a display section on the counter that have books & pamphlets that gives you vital information about life: âLIFEâS ULTIMATE QUESTIONSâ
âTHE MASTERâS HANDâ & âHOW TO GET RICH.â
THANK YOU TRAINI SHOE REPAIR!

First of all, the owner was rude to me. He did not treat other customers that came in to the store the way he treated me. Maybe new customers are not wanted. Secondly, it took him almost 3 full months to repair our shoes and boots, which we paid for upfront. We were not able to wear them all last winter. The boots that he repaired and we got back last March, pealed off the second time they were worn just 8 months later. I would not suggest this business to any new comers. Perhaps if you are a regular customer, you receive better overall service. I am not retuning my business here.

Terrible experience! He berated me (in lieu of kindly explaining) for only bringing in one boot (I was having a heel tip replaced) and told me he couldnât guarantee the correct height but yet he uses standard height tips. Then accused me of trying to use someone elseâs credit card (until he realized it was, indeed, my name) for the purchase! Not a pleasant man or encounter! Hated having to return to retrieve my boot, where, I will say, I did not receive a âthank you for your businessâ, âhave a nice dayâ , or even âgo to hellâ when I was handed my boot! This is one business I will never return to!

After going to three other show repair shops to have riding boots altered, and having them want no part of a difficult job, I brought them to Traini's. I cannot tell you how impressed I was with the gentleman who took a lot of time to measure my legs, and examine the boots, and how he would take them in. The service was thorough, very friendly, fast, and reasonably priced. I am unsure what the circumstances are surrounding other reviews, but I will refer this shop to anyone. My riding boots look and fit amazingly now, and the work was done so well, you can't even tell I had them taken in. Five star service!

I went to pick up my shoes on the day they were promised(2.5 weeks after drop off) and they weren't ready. They hadn't even been started. When I said I was promised they'd be done that day the owner rudely said "you and everyone else". I thought his response was both rude and odd. He said they'd be done in an hour, but I was not going to be around then. Two and a half weeks for an hours worth of work that hadn't even been started. I went back the next day and the work he did was not what I was told would be done. So a $225 pair of shoes are ruined. I told him that was the last time(had been there previously) I would ever use him. Both his attitude and work, as well as his work ethic aren't going to get him any new customers. I was extremely unhappy with both his attitude and work. Never again..

I have been going to Traini Shoe Repair for many years. I have been absolutely thrilled with everything. He has done many repairs on not only shoes, but also my son's hockey goalie gear, saving me hundreds of dollars. I highly recommend his work!

Very rude and unreliable. Went to pickup shoes but he had not even started on them. He then said they would be ready the following week. They were not. He then tried to somehow made it my fault. At that point I took my unfinished shoes and money and will find a more reliable repair shop.

Horrible experience here. I took my $200 riding boot to him because he said he has done work on the brand of boot before. After 6 months of waiting and not being able to get ahold of him, he finally admitted he âforgotâ about my boot. It took 7 months to finally get my boot fixed. When I did get it back the leather was ruined from being folded up and sitting for so long. He refused any sort of discount to make up for the excessive wait or damage. Never going back again.
Edit. Itâs been two years since I took my boots to this business. I have not worn the boots since, long story short, I no longer have the ability to show (hence why I have not used them). They have been in storage in a climate controlled home in a protective bag for the past two years and have not been used. I pulled them out yesterday to take pictures as I have decided to sell them. The boot that had been worked on (it needed a zipper replaced) looks horrible. The stitching work is visibly uneven and loose, to the point that the leather has started to pull away from the stitching. So now, even though these are still a basically brand new pair of boots (in the sense that I never got the chance to wear them), because of the damage to the leather from being folded up (you do NOT fold tall boots) and now the horrible repair of the zipper, I will probably not even be able to sell them and get any portion of my money back at all. So I threw away the $200 for the boots as well as the money he charged me to âfix themâ. I am beyond upset.
